Pastors

  • Daniel Barta

    Daniel grew up in Cleveland, OH, before moving to Greenville, SC, to attend North Greenville University where he met his wife Jessie.  They married in 2010, and now have four beautiful daughters.  He serves the church primarily by teaching, writing, strategizing, and leading in administration.  When he steps away from work, he enjoys walking around a golf course, hiking with his family in the mountains, and keeping up with culture and current events.

  • Jared Thomas

    Jared grew up in Gastonia, NC where he met his wife, Lindsay, during senior year of high school. Jared earned his BA in Christian Studies from North Greenville University in 2009. He and Lindsay then married and moved to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where Jared completed a MA in Marriage and Family Counseling (2012), a Theology Master’s (2014), and a PhD in Counseling (2017). Jared and Lindsay have 4 children, Turner, Liza Jill, Lorelei, and Sawyer. In his leisure you will find Jared reading a good book, playing disc golf, hiking, or working in the wood shop.

Staff

  • Rachel Forrester

    Rachel grew up in Swannanoa, NC, before moving to Greenville, SC, where she met her husband Samuel and graduated from North Greenville University. They married in 2023, and are expecting their first child. Rachel serves the church as the Worship Ministry Assistant and contributes to written resources for the church. She enjoys writing, sports, listening to and playing music, and hosting others in the Forrester home.

  • Karla Hall

    Karla grew up in Travelers Rest, SC, where she attended North Greenville University, majoring in Theatre. She has been married to Braden since 2014. They have two beautiful daughters: Stormie and Harmony. Karla serves as the Administrative Assistant at Christ Fellowship Northwest and homeschools. When she is not working, she enjoys reading a good book, board games, and hosting friends and family. 

  • Mary Crump

    Mary Crump

    Mary grew up in Florence, SC, and later moved to Greenville, SC, to attend North Greenville University, where she majored in Early Childhood Education. She has been married to her husband, Strib, since 2021. Mary serves as the CF Kids Director at Christ Fellowship Northwest and also teaches 1st grade at a local public school. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Nate Cure

    Nate is husband to Hannah, and father to Henri. He was born in Atlanta, GA, but grew up overseas in Europe as the son of missionary parents. He has served in teaching ministry for seven years and holds a bachelor’s degree in pastoral leadership, biblical theology, and missiology. Before joining CFNW, Nate completed a four-year, church-based pastoral and theological apprenticeship and is currently completing his Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves the church as the Pastoral Intern. Outside of ministry, Nate enjoys cooking, reading and writing, long walks and conversations, as well as NFL football (specifically the New England Patriots), and ice-cold Dr. Pepper.

  • Micah Lee

    Micah grew up in Laurens, SC, and studied Computer Science at Clemson University. He serves by leading the music team at Christ Fellowship Northwest and works full time as a software engineer. Micah and his wife, Carrie, were married in 2010 and have three boys—Chasen, Samuel, and Coleman. In his free time, Micah enjoys camping, DIY projects, and audiobooks on history. 

Deacons

  • Joe Salle

    Joe grew up in the Upstate and graduated from North Greenville University with a degree in Business Administration. He owns Salle Custom Contracting, a custom renovation company serving families throughout the area.

    Joe and his wife, Jess, are raising their two adventurous sons and enjoy building a life centered around faith, family, and community. 

    In his free time, Joe enjoys fly fishing, hobby farming, and cheering on his sons at their soccer games.

    Joe serves as a Deacon of Buildings and a Missional Community Facilitator. He is passionate about helping people grow in their faith and experience the kind of authentic discipleship that happens in real relationships.

  • Mark McCoy

    Mark was born and raised in the Upstate of South Carolina, where he built both his life and his career rooted in faith, family, and service. For the past 39 years, Mark has dedicated himself to public service, taking great pride in the work he does and the opportunity it provides to make a meaningful difference within his agency and community.

    Mark and his wife, Susan, have spent their lives in the Upstate raising their family and building strong ties to the community they love. Together they have two sons, both of whom now live in Greenville, and they are the proud grandparents of a bright and cherished granddaughter whom Mark describes as a true gift from God.

    Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, as well as tackling creative projects around the home. He also balances these interests with his work in the real estate business.

    Faith plays a central role in Mark’s life. He serves as the Deacon of Safety and values the fellowship he shares with members of his Missional Community and Cell Group. Through his service, family life, and commitment to his faith, Mark strives to live a life that positively impacts those around him.

  • Samuel Forrester

    Samuel grew up in Simpsonville, SC, and met and married Rachel after graduating with a Business Administration degree from North Greenville University. He and Rachel have a son and are expecting a daughter. Outside of work and serving the church, Samuel enjoys watching South Carolina Gamecock sports, especially with his brothers, as well as reading and sharing meals with other friends and families.

  • Don Basha

    Don grew up in Mt. Pleasant, SC, where he attended College of Charleston, majoring in accounting.  He has been married to Kathy since 1991. They have three wonderful sons, two amazing daughters-in-law, and three beautiful grandchildren. Don serves as the Deacon of Finance at Christ Fellowship Northwest. He enjoys time with his family, being outside, and playing sports.
