In place of our usual Before the Word conversation, we’re sharing a talk from Andy Crouch, “True Rest vs. Leisure: How Sabbath Breaks the Idols of Work and Technology.” In this teaching, Crouch helps us see that rest is not simply withdrawal from activity, but a God-given gift that reorders our loves, exposes our false sources of identity, and frees us from the relentless demands of productivity and self-justification.
